I’m a passionate burger enthusiast and NYC local here to share my perspective on the city's best burgers with you. Burgers are more than just a meal - they're a catalyst for connection, community, and exploration. I created Mike Eats NYC Burgers to provide a comprehensive resource for fellow burger lovers, with journeys from the five boroughs to the four corners of the world.

My Story
Growing up, I was always on the hunt for the best burgers. The more I ate, the more I realized that all burgers are not created equal. Nearly every restaurant has a burger on the menu, but few truly deliver. I sought them out in every city I visited, with endless options and limited time. Despite the abundance of guides claiming to reveal the "best burgers in [insert city]", I found the resources underwhelming.

I was tired of wasting time and money on subpar burgers, so I started doing my own research, driven by a passion to uncover the best. I embarked on a mission to scour the internet, consult with locals, and savor countless burgers. This journey revealed a profound truth - I wasn't alone in my quest for the perfect burger. I was part of a larger community united by a shared love for the American hamburger, a bond that transcends borders and cultures.

My mission is to eat, rank, and review the best burgers in the best city.  I'll help you discover the best of the NYC and global burger scene, becoming your trusted guide to the perfect patty every step of the way.

My Ranking System

I rank my favorite NYC area burgers on a tiered scale and group them by the occasion to help you find the perfect spot, whether it's a dive, a date night, or something in between.

I recommend every burger I rank. If something’s not there, I either haven’t had it, or it didn’t make the list. Yes, Tier 1s are the best, but Tier 2s, 3s, and honorable mentions are still incredible burgers. It’s all a matter of personal preference and subjectivity. You may disagree with my opinions - good! After all, it’s my list, not yours.
