Great Jones is undoubtedly a distillery first, but don’t sleep on them for a meal. “Manhattan’s first whiskey distillery since prohibition” presents a well-rounded menu with locally sourced ingredients and a beautiful atmosphere.

  • The Burger: The Burger (Tier 3). Red wine braised onions, applewood smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese. The patty is mid-sized and very tender, generously coated with cheese. The red onions have the right sweetness while the bacon is perfectly thick and crispy with the right chew. All of this is sandwiched between a seeded bun that’s soft and fluffy on the inside with a crisp, thin outside layer and served with hand cut fries.

  • Pro Tip: A seemingly mayo-based sauce is provided on the side, taking this burger to the next level. Lettuce, tomato, and their delicious house pickles also come with, but they aren’t needed. Join them for “Prohibition Hour” where cocktails are $11!

  • The Occasion & Vibe: With Drinks. Upstairs features a walk-in only tasting room bar, while downstairs has a full dining room with counter seating that looks directly into their open kitchen. My favorite feature is the dining room’s map highlighting Manhattan speakeasies open during prohibition.

  • The Location: NoHo, Broadway & Great Jones Street.
