Tucked away in the West Village, Emmett's on Grove offers a refined, sophisticated take on a classic tavern experience. Showcasing Chicago tavern style thin crust pizza and Italian dishes, Emmett's on Grove also serves up an impressive burger.

  • The Burger: Dry Aged Burger (Tier 3). American cheese, sesame seed bun, pickle chips, and white onion. This behemoth of a burger is packed with rich, buttery flavor from the toasted, crispy bun to the perfectly balanced patty. The burger's subtle nuances shine through with each successive bite. Feel free to add the accompanying pickles and onions for an extra burst of flavor, or enjoy without - either way, you can't go wrong. The cheese ratio is spot-on, and the dry-aged flavor adds a sophisticated depth that’s not overpowering. A hint of grilled cheese flavor rounds out the experience. A generous amount of crispy fries come alongside, a towering pile of twists and turns.

  • Pro Tip: Obviously get the pizzas (next time for me). Also on the menu is the Char Cheddar Burger with an eclectic mix of toppings -  sharp cheddar cheese spread, caramelized onions, sport peppers, relish, tomato, ketchup & mustard - that evokes the iconic flavors of a Chicago-style hot dog. This one’s got a lot to offer, but it’s too much for me.

  • The Occasion & Vibe: Date Night / Reservations Recommended. This charming spot seamlessly blends rustic charm with refined sophistication, creating a unique ambiance that's both stylish and cozy. Bright and inviting, it's an ideal destination for a night out with friends or a romantic date.

  • The Location: West Village, Grove Street and Bleecker Street.

Bonus Thought: Emmet’s on Grove is the sister restaurant to the more laid-back Emmet’s (on MacDougal).
