This stunning waterfront location overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge is a seafood restaurant with a surprising twist - its number one selling menu item is the burger. A place known for its fresh catches has no business making a burger this good.
The Burger: Gruyère Cheeseburger au Jus (Tier 3). Crunchy Onions, Dijon Chili Mayonnaise, and French Fries. This 6oz patty is cooked to a perfect medium rare, as the Chef recommends. The flavors are strong and bold, with a mustardy taste that complements the crispy onions and thick, belly-busting patty. The cheese is melted to perfection, with a nice French onion flavor that adds depth to the burger. The au jus is a game-changer, with its salty, deep flavor and abundance of onions that will leave you warmed up and craving more. The bun is a genuine Parker roll (similar to a dinner roll) with a square, dense, yet soft and fluffy texture that's both buttery and lightly sweet. This exceptional bun delivers possibly the most structurally sound burger I’ve ever come across, holding together perfectly even with all the fats and sauce, maintaining its integrity to the very last dunk and bite.
Pro Tip: Two of the best appetizers I’ve ever eaten in my life are the Long Island Fluke and Warm Octopus and Fresh Mozzarella - don’t miss them. Also, be aware that The Fulton is located on the pier, so cars can’t drop you off directly.
The Occasion & Vibe: Date Night / Reservations Recommended. With stunning East River views overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, The Fulton is perfect for special occasions or romantic evenings out. The atmosphere is approachable yet sophisticated, paying homage to the Seaport area's maritime history.
The Location: Seaport District, Pier 17.
